The A1 to C1 TELC exams consist of a written and an oral part.
The written part tests your reading comprehension, listening comprehension and written expression skills. Grammar knowledge and vocabulary related to the language level play an important role in all parts.
The oral examination takes place either alone or in teams. Two to three candidates speak together about the given tasks and topics. For the B1, B2 and C1 Telc exams you have 20 minutes preparation time before the oral part. You receive the examination papers and can familiarise yourself with them.
The examination results are available approximately 4 to 6 weeks after the exam took place. It will be marked by the telc Institute in Bad Homburg. In order to pass the overall exam, you must achieve at least 60 per cent of the possible maximum score in both the written examination part and the oral examination.
If you pass one part of the examination and fail the other, it is possible to have the part you passed credited to the next examination. In this case, you would only take the failed part of the examination again.
Nativa Akademie also offers telc exam preparation! In a “placement lesson” with the teacher, they check your level of knowledge and prepare you for your desired exam in further lessons. How many hours you should take depends on your individual knowledge.
